Outdoor Education

Camp Wesley Woods offers an outstanding outdoor education program focused on active, experiential, place based learning. We provide flexible schedules and curriculum that can be tailored to meet your needs. We work with schools to combine the right mix of environmental and adventure education components to support their specific goals. All of our curriculum is interdisciplinary and tied to the current Tennessee standards. Our outdoor education program goals are to Inspire the Heart, Nurture the Soul, Educate the Mind, and Strengthen the Hands. 

Our environmental education curriculum helps students understand the natural world and its complex interrelationships. They experience the wonder and awe found in nature and learn how they can play a hands-on role in creating a more sustainable environment.

In our adventure education program, we use a variety of challenge activities to help students explore who they are and develop new skills. Individual students build confidence, learn to overcome obstacles and gain new insights into their strengths. Through group team building activities, students learn important lessons about trust, communication, teamwork and leadership.
