Welcome to the ORT Hall of Fame!
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines "ort" as a morsel of food left at a meal, or a scrap. The students in the Camp Wesley Woods ORT Hall of Fame have worked very hard to cut down the amount of food they leave on their plates after a meal. Our farmers, Oliver Ray Turner and Olivia Rae Turner, guide our students through measuring and graphing their food waste. As producers of food, Oliver & Olivia have a strong stake in encouraging students to reduce their waste, both here at Camp and back at school & home. To make it into the ORT Hall of Fame, schools must go four meals (out of a usual seven) with NO food waste. It takes forethought & discipline to make it into the Hall of Fame, and these schools deserve our congratulations for working to care for our planet's resources. Keep up the good work reducing your ORT and encouraging others to join you!
