Frequently Asked Questions
How old do my students have to be to attend your day or resident programs?
The environmental education program best serves students from kindergarten to eighth grade, and currently has groups of all ages in both our day and resident programs. Younger students (K-3rd graders) who attend our resident program tend to stay only one or two nights and bring plenty of chaperones.
How long can my school stay?
You decide! The program is set up to offer groups of varying needs, a variety of options for length of stay. Day groups typically arrive in the morning and do two, hour and a half classes, eat lunch then depart in time for the regular school day’s end. Others spend an extended day here (3 or 4 hour and a half class periods) and get back to school a little later. Resident groups can stay any number of days and nights up to a whole week, number of classes selected will depend on the length of stay.
What classes do you offer?
Create your own experience by selecting from our wide variety of classes. All classes are made age appropriate and can be tailored to include a specific academic agenda, for example, a Falls Hike with an emphasis on habitat, an animals class with an emphasis on adaptations etc. For a description see the Environmental Education and Adventure Education Programs sections of our web site.
