Challenge Course
The camp's low challenge course is a great tool for helping groups explore issues of teamwork, leadership and communication. The course consists of a number of fun, safe physical problem solving activities. These activities stimulate discussion of important group related issues.
Ropes Course
Our two ropes courses provide individual initiatives that challenge participants to step outside their comfort zone to increase self-confidence, build trust, and learn to overcome obstacles. Trained facilitators from the camp ensure the activities are done in a supportive, safe environment that encourages personal growth and development.
Climbing Wall/Climbing Tower
The camp's climbing wall and tower provide fun, safe opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to try climbing. Trained Camp Wesley Woods staff help create a memorable experience for participants.
Giant's Ladder
The giant's ladder combines the team aspects of the challenge course with the thrills of the ropes course. Teams of two participants work together to climb the 30 foot tall ladder while practicing teamwork, communication, problem solving and trust.
Canoeing/Kayaking
We offer opportunities for groups to canoe and/or kayak either at the camp on our lagoon or on the adjoining Little River. The camp has the boats and equipment you'll need along with certified staff to ensure safety.
Hiking
The camp's 710 acres of mountains and valleys provide the perfect setting for hiking. The camp has a network of marked hiking trails of varying lengths and levels of difficulty.
Day Trips to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Camp Wesley Woods is located less than ten minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As experienced hikers and paddlers, our staff have an intimate knowledge of the trails, rivers and sights of the park. We can work with you to suggest ideas for a visit to GSMNP that will meet the interests and skills of your group.
